Storage tanks are containers that hold liquids, compressed gases ormediums used for the short- or long –term storage of heat and cold. Storagetanks are available in many shapes:- vertical and horizontal cylindrical, opentop and closed top, flat bottom, cone bottom, slope bottom and dishbottom. A Pressure vessel is a closed tank that is certified by the manufacturer tohold up to a maximum pressure in the storage vessels and the manufacturerwill test to a standard, usually ASTM. Each individual vessel has its ownoperating limits built in by design that it hasto work under,referred to as itsdesign pressure and design temperature.

Hastelloy coating is a thermal spray coating process used to improve or restore a component’s surface properties or dimensions, thus extending equipment life by significantly increasing erosion and wear resistance, and corrosion protection. Molten or semi-molten materials are sprayed onto the surface by means of the high temperature, high-velocity gas stream, producing a dense spray coating which can be ground to a very high surface finish. The utilization of the Hastelloy coating technique allows the application of coating materials such as metals, alloys, and ceramics to produce a coating of exceptional hardness, outstanding adhesion to the substrate material and providing substantial wear resistance and corrosion protection.
